受験内容 ①マルチメディアと人間の感覚・知覚、②コミュニケーションデザインの概念、
③メディア処理技術、④メディア処理ソフトウェア、⑤コンピュータシステム、
⑥インターネット、⑦マルチメディア応用システム、⑧社会論
受験地 全国各地
受験日程 6月下旬、11月下旬頃（2回）
受験料 4,000円

コメント コミュニケーションの手段としてデジタル情報を使う場合の技能、知識を評価する。３級は簡単なＷｅｂサイトの作成やプレゼンテーション資料などの作成ができる技術をもった人が対象。特定のアプリケーションソフトが対象ではなく、マルチメディア全般を対象に総合的な技術をはかる。
