コメント ＴＯＥＩＣは、文法や英訳の技術よりも英語でのコミュニケーション能力を重視する検定試験。そのため、最近では英検以上に実用的な英語能力の評価基準として、採用などの参考基準にする企業などが増えている。現前、アジアやヨーロッパなど約60カ国で実施され、点数によってその力が客観評価されるので、受験者の英語力を正確に位置づけできるのが特徴。
評価は得点によって分けられる。最高のＡグレードになると、ノンネイティブとして十分な英語力があるという証明になる。グレードは以下Ｂ、Ｃ、Ｄ、Ｅと5段階になっている。
