受験資格 制限なし
受験内容 単語の意味，漢字のピンインへの表記がえ，ピンインの漢字への表記がえ。
常用語1,000～2,000による中国語複文の日本語訳と日本語の中国語訳
受験地 各都道府県36箇所、北京、上海
受験日程 3月第4、6月第4、11月第4日曜日（3回）
受験料 4,725円

合格発表日 受験日から約2週間後
コメント 中国語の学習者を増やし、またその能力を客観的、社会的に評価するための検定。
3級は、単語の意味が重要視され、常用語1000～2000語を使った簡単な読み書きの力も必要。また、文法の一般事項、簡単な日常会話の能力なども問われる。
