受験資格 制限なし
受験内容 単語の意味，漢字のピンインへの表記がえ，ピンインの漢字への表記がえ。
常用語500～1,000による中国語単文の日本語訳と日本語の中国語訳
受験地 各都道府県36箇所、北京、上海
受験日程 3月第4、6月第4、11月第4日曜日（3回）
受験料 3,675円

合格発表日 受験日から約2週間後
コメント 中国語の学習者を増やし、またその能力を客観的、社会的に評価するための検定。
４級は日常の生活語彙500～1000語、基礎的文法、簡単な聞き取り、書き取りなどの力が問われる。通常の大学における第２外国語としての学習を1年履修した程度がレベルの目安だ。
